A Professional Learning Network is a group of people, resources, strategies and technologies available to support individuals. The purpose of a PLN is to facilitate learning, professional development, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas within the educational field. I plan to use my PLN over the semester to expand my knowledge of educational news, advancements, and ideas. I can have access to lesson plans, educators, and programs to apply to my future career and classrooms. The use of PLN's can greatly progress my knowledge of educational concepts as well as give me insightful details and updates within the education system.
Examples of how the PLN will be useful during my post-secondary education include feedback, support and development. A PLN allows for continuous learning beyond the confines of formal education. I am able to stay updated on latest events, trends, and best practices through interactions through my PLN. I can connect with peers, professors, and professional in the educational field and discuss course material and opportunities for mentorship.
